- Product Listings: Product names, descriptions, pricing, images, and category information.
- Job Postings: Job titles, company names, descriptions, job type, location, category, contact email, and external application links.
- Job Applications: Applicant name, contact information, email, resume files, and cover letters or cover files.
- Messages: Content of direct messages exchanged between users on the platform.
- Feedback and Reports: Content you submit through feedback forms or when reporting businesses, products, circles, or gallery content.
- Payment Information: When boosting a business or product, we collect transaction-related data. Payment card details are processed directly by our payment processor (Paystack) and are never stored on our servers.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interaction patterns.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and screen resolution.
- Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Google Sign-In: If you sign up or log in using Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and profile.
- Enable you to create, manage, and discover businesses, products, job postings, and jamii network.
- Facilitate direct messaging between users.
- Process payments for boosting businesses and products via Paystack.
- Display business and product listings to other users within your jamii network and across the platform.
- Enable job applications and connect job seekers with employers.
- Provide search, filtering, and recommendation features.
- Manage favourites and saved products.
- Moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service, including handling reports and banning violating accounts.
- Send important service-related communications (e.g., account verification, security alerts).
- Improve, maintain, and optimize the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Other Users: Your profile name, profile picture, business listings, product listings, and job postings are visible to other users of the platform, particularly within shared circles. Messages are visible to the intended recipients.
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who assist in operating the Service:
- Supabase: Database hosting, authentication, and backend services.
- Backblaze B2: Cloud storage for images, videos, and uploaded files (e.g., resumes, cover letters).
- Paystack: Payment processing for boost transactions (KES currency).
- Google: Authentication services (Google Sign-In).
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Safety and Enforcement: To protect the rights, property, or safety of JamiiFlow, our users, or the public, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase and Backblaze B2.
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
- We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your device and our servers.
- Payment information is handled directly by Paystack using industry-standard security measures (PCI DSS compliant). We do not store your card details.
- While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and Update: You can view and update your profile information, business details, and product listings at any time through the Settings page or your business/product management pages.
- Delete Your Account: You can permanently delete your account through the Settings page. This will remove your profile, businesses, products, and associated data. Some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
- Change Password: You can change your password at any time through the Settings page.
- Control Visibility: You can manage which circles your businesses and job postings are visible to.
- Favourites: You can add or remove products from your favourites at any time.
- Report Content: You can report businesses, products, circles, or gallery content that violates our policies.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law, necessary to resolve disputes, or needed to enforce our agreements. Payment transaction records may be retained for accounting and legal compliance purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
JamiiFlow is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
9. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and local storage to maintain your authentication session, remember your preferences, and ensure the proper functioning of the Service. These are essential for the operation of the platform. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than Kenya, where our service providers (Supabase, Backblaze, Paystack) maintain their servers.
